On the Road to Mastering Youtube

This is the main page of Youtube. The main page is very convenient, because it shows recommended videos according to what types of videos you have been watching on youtube.

This is the 'search' feature of Youtube. On the search bar, you can type anything you wish to find, then the list of videos titled similar to your search words appear.

This feature is 'Watch it again'. It basically contains the videos you have watched in the past, so that you could access them again anytime.

This is 'Subscribe' feature of Youtube. It enables you to access the page of the profile who posts videos that interests you instantly. There, you can view all of the videos posted by that person.

This feature lets you watch multiple videos without having to search or click each on of them every time you wish to watch another video. In this feature, when the video ends, the next one in list plays right away automatically.

On the Road to Mastering Facebook

In Facebook, there is a feature to update your status. This enables you to post any photos or texts you want to share. Many people share their precious moments through posting the photos of their moments. This appears to the newsfeed of your friends.

This is the main page of the Facebook, which is 'newsfeed'. This is where all of your friends' posts and status updates are shown. Through scrolling down, you are able to see the updated moments and status of your friends.

This is 'friend' feature in Facebook. You can add anyone as a friend. Then an invitation sends to the person you want to add, and if the person accepts your friend request, you are now friends with that person. This enables you to see the friend's status on newsfeed and also chat online.

This feature is 'like' in Facebook. This enables for the the posts to be quickly spread among the Facebook users, as anything you like, any of your friends may be able to view it on their newsfeed. Also, it may reflect the popularity of a post.

This is the search bar of Facebook. This enables you to quickly search any friend or group. When typing in a name, you can see the list of people who have the name and number of mutual friends you have with that person, or even education/work of that person, which enables you to find someone you know quicker.

On the Road to Mastering Twitter

In Twitter, there is a 'following' option. This option enables you to be updated with the page you followed whenever the page you 'follow' updates something on their profile. This is useful if there is a  page you especially like, or want to be informed as updated. Also, through list of the pages you are following enables you to easily access those pages whenever you wish to.

This is a feature to 'favor' a specific post. This is useful in a way that you can always see the post you favoured, and can also see how many people favoured this post. This lets the updater spread a post more widely.

This is a feature called 'retweet'. If you retweet a post, that post is updated to all of the accounts which follow you. Thus, it is a very quick way to spread a post you want your followers to see.

This is 'reply' feature in twitter. It enables you to directly comment on the post. Thus, it enables the direct communication between you and the person who tweeted.

This is the main page of twitter, which updates you with new posts and tweets of the pages you follow. It is useful, because you can see all the updates of pages you are interested in one page.

Assignment 2-4 Hardware system review

The hardware I would like to review is 'MacBook Pro Retina Display'. First, there are two display categories; 13inches and 15inches. For 13inches, the price ranges from $1299 to $1799 according to the specification such as hard drive size and processor. For 15inches, the price ranges from $1999 to $2499, also according to the specs of hard drive size and processor.

This is a laptop, and you can use it to watch videos, work on word processors, edit photos, edit videos, talk to friend using sns, email, watch TV, listen to music, take pictures or videos, communicate with anyone through messenger softwares, and explore internet through 'safari' or chrome, if you wish. It performs anything other laptops perform.

One of this product's competitive products is 'Samsung ATIV Book 9'. Its price ranges from $1199 to $1799 according to its display sizes, and specifications. Another competitive product is 'Toshiba KIRA book 13'. Its price ranges from $1349 to $1699 according to different specifications.

I have used laptops from Apple, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, and HP. They are all good companies that make good laptops. However, each company specialises in its products. I had no complaints using all of them except HP's laptop. Among these brands, however, I like Apple the best. First, design wise, Macbook is definitely the best among all laptops selling today in the market. It is simple, light, slim, sleek, and pretty. Also, although its processor may not have as high spec as other laptops, but if you use it you certainly have no complaints because you can't tell the difference since Macbook is already using a good processor. Moreoever, its inner system, "IOS" is more user friendly and prettier than "Windows". Lastly, MacBook is the best when editing videos or photos.

Assignment 2-2 (2) KOAA

This article introduces what the Immersive Education Club is up to now. It states that the club is composed of roughly 20 highschool and college students, and they meet once a week to construct a virtual world, specifically 'Bent's Fort'. The article shows how excited the people around this project are, thinking about anyone being able to access a historic site from anywhere on the planet.

The article also states that for now, the team is at its beginning stage, where they are learning to construct virtual sites using 'Mine craft'. Then, gradually, they will move onto use more advanced software.

Assignment2-1: What is immersive education?

Here, Professor Walsh is briefly introducing himself, and that he has been teaching immersive education since 1997. He then explains what an immersive education initiative is, which is using technology for education.

Here, Professor Walsh further explains what immersive education is. Then, he briefly gives a few examples of immersive education such as virtual worlds, learning games, simulations, and FAM. Then, it is followed by the details of the virtual world technology.

Here, the professor explains the structure of the education. It is divided into three levels. The first level is very basic, and fast learning process to learn how to use certain forms of immersive education. Level 2 is further learning from the fundamentals, and the third level is to be able to do anything needed in immersive education.
In this part, the professor explains the commercial video game, "mine craft". This is to promote the stealth learning, in which the students do not realise that they are learning logics and mathematics, but instead they think they are having fun. Then it goes to introduce the 3d printing, which the content in virtual world would be able to be printed in 3d world.

12 Screenshots for Review

This is the Firefighter German Museum I visited. It was interesting to see the smoke moving out.

This was trying to see if I can get into the fire truck.

This was at the lunar world, and I was wondering what I am seeing there, but couldn't figure out.

Same here, I did not figure out what that box was for.

This was summer landscape and it was a beautiful house.

The landscape of the island was also pretty.

This was underwater, and it was interesting to see the fish moving.

Makes me wonder if there is any facility like such in real world.

This is the worksite, and I was surprised by its sudden movement.

 Nice worksite scenery.

This is the outside view of the church, wondering why the church has to be so pretty.

This is the interior of the church.
